Donations for SUMS
A BRIDGE TO HOPE in the Whalley Community of Surrey
The SUMS mission is to transform lives in the Spirit of Christ; within a community that cares, welcomes, and supports those in need while assisting them to participate in society.
Every day SUMS provides meals, medical care, community space, and a warm shelter to individuals who would otherwise not easily access such services. SUMS currently works alongside BC Housing to shelter and feed approximately 100 people in addition to offering food, clothing and toiletries to those without housing who stop by the Mission for assistance.
Volunteers
SUMS would love to be a place for those who, amidst busy schedules, wish to express their gifts and talents in serving those who need it most. Service might involve cleaning, cooking or caring in various ways for those less fortunate. Volunteers are a greatly valued supportive base in providing services to the community.
